The Happy Union
Inn,a welcoming watering hole after a hard days work or ramble.

|
The Happy Union you must agree is a great name for a pub yet we are not sure of its origin
although it is said that it probably originated from the treaty of union between Wales and England.
The Pub is well supported by the locals and has 2 pool teams and 2 dart teams operating throughout
the winter months, and in the summer various social evenings and barbecues.

The Happy Union Inn , a pub that does not lean towards modern day pubs in that it has no
telly,no jukebox and no fruit machines. There is an unusual pub sign of a man riding a goat..
It has a welcoming and pleasing atmospere with freindly chat from the locals helping you to
relax and forget any troubles.

The present owner of the happy union is the third generation of his family to run the
pub, his grandfather took over in 1937 and combined the pub with his tailoring business.
Today the pub is combined with the village shop and post office, and the holiday cottage to enable the business to be
viable in this remote spot.
Allthough we do not serve food we can provide
sandwiches or soup by prior arangement.
